Job summary

Index Analytics, a Baltimore-based health data consultancy, seeks a Senior Data Scientist to support federal clients in Baltimore and the DC metro area. The role centers on deriving value from Medicaid/CHIP data using domain knowledge, statistics, and programming.

Qualifications

• US citizen or authorized to work in the US and able to obtain a government badge.
• Bachelor’s degree with 6+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience with CMS/Medicaid/CHIP data domains preferred.
• Experience with data analysis or research in Medicaid/CHIP areas preferred.
• Proficiency in Python, R, SQL or PySpark; strong visualization skills.
• Experience with GitHub and CI/CD tools like Jenkins.

Responsibilities

• Formulate research, support solution development for Medicaid/CHIP policy.
• Perform statistical analysis, data mining, and predictive modeling.
• Visualize data and produce ad hoc reports for stakeholders.
• Communicate findings to clients and scientific audiences.
• Build predictive models, data visualizations, and analysis tools.
• Work in an agile team of data analysts and scientists.
