Job summary

Index Analytics LLC, a Baltimore-based health analytics consultancy, seeks a Senior Researcher/Analyst to transform Medicaid and CHIP data into actionable insights. You will lead analyses, build predictive models, and deliver high-quality reports for CMS and client teams.

Qualifications

• U.S. citizen or otherwise authorized to work in the United States.
• Bachelor’s degree with 10+ years of experience (or equivalent combination).
• Experience applying statistical methods and data analyses for policy, operations, and oversight.
• Direct experience with SQL or PySpark for data analytics.
• Hands-on experience with TAF data, CMS-416T reports, and state health outcome metrics.
• Subject matter expertise in text analytics; NLP experience is a plus.
• Proficiency in Python or R is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct research on Medicaid and CHIP data sources to identify patterns and insights for CMS needs.
• Perform exploratory data analysis and predictive modeling to inform policy and operations.
• Develop reports and visualizations grounded in user-centered design to aid decision-making.
• Collaborate in an agile environment with data professionals and clients.
• Lead development of analytic products and dashboards for pilot studies and operations.
• Prepare technical deliverables and communicate findings to clients and scientific audiences.
• Integrate qualitative research with data analysis to provide policy insights.
