Job summary

Hayward Industries, based in North Kingstown, RI, seeks a Senior Mechanical Engineer, Advanced Engineering, to turn early-stage concepts into testable prototypes and scalable architectures. You will bridge CAD-driven design with hands-on fabrication, collaborating across EE, firmware, IoT, design, and manufacturing.

You will lead rapid experiments, optimize enclosures, thermal paths, and sensor integration, and support a transition from prototype to production.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of mechanical engineering experience in consumer, commercial, industrial, or electro-mechanical products.
• Experience with pool, water treatment, automation, sensing, or outdoor equipment is preferred.
• Strong fundamentals in mechanisms, enclosures, materials, sealing, thermal, fluid handling, and manufacturability.

Responsibilities

• Translate opportunities and hypotheses into tangible prototypes and systems.
• Develop mechanical concepts for electro-mechanical pool equipment and IoT-enabled devices.
• Collaborate with EE, firmware, IoT, and design teams to integrate mech, electrical, and control elements.
