Qualifications

• B.S. in Mechanical Engineering required; M.S. preferred.
• 8+ years of mechanical engineering experience in relevant sectors.
• Hands-on prototype development and rapid iteration in ambiguous environments.
• Experience integrating electronics into mechanical systems and IoT-enabled prototypes.
• Strong communication of learnings, risks, and decisions to teams.

Responsibilities

• Translate opportunities into tangible prototypes and models to accelerate learning.
• Develop mechanical concepts for electro-mechanical and IoT-enabled pool equipment.
• Select rapid prototyping methods (CAD, 3D printing, machining, fixtures).
• Create robust CAD models, drawings, BOMs, and production docs as concepts mature.
• Collaborate with EE, firmware, IoT, design, product, and manufacturing teams.
• Plan and conduct experiments to evaluate feasibility, performance, and reliability.
• Observe users and field environments to identify constraints and needs.
• Support transition to scalable product architectures and development plans.
