Qualifications

• 8+ years in mechanical engineering for consumer/industrial products, with electro-mechanical exposure.
• Hands-on prototype development and rapid iteration in early-stage environments.
• CAD and prototyping experience, plus collaboration across EE, FW/SW, ID/UX, and manufacturing.
• Familiarity with DFMEA/PFMEA, testing, and design verification.

Responsibilities

• Translate opportunities into models, rigs, and functional prototypes to accelerate learning.
• Develop concepts for electro-mechanical and IoT-enabled pool equipment and enclosures.
• Choose fastest prototyping methods: CAD, 3D printing, bench fabrication, or machining.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate mechanical, electrical, and sensing elements.
• Define and run experiments to evaluate feasibility, performance, and cost.
• Observe real-world usage to identify unmet needs and usability friction.
• Support transition from prototype to scalable product architectures and specs.
• Deliver clear learnings, risks, and recommendations to enable rapid decisions.
