Qualifications

• Extensive hands-on experience leading immersive engineering projects.
• Ability to obtain and maintain US Top Secret clearance.
• Experience with PCB design and ECAD tools.
• Mechanical design experience for loads and mounting.
• Prototyping and hardware integration skills.
• Familiarity with microcontrollers, power conversion, and system integration.
• Ability to read schematics and wiring layouts.

Responsibilities

• Execute rapid evaluation of engineering concepts across diverse fields.
• Identify partners and manage early vendor relationships.
• Perform trade studies and physics-based analysis of engineering problems.
• Manage internal and external market research and comparisons.
• Design, implement, and test complex electro‑mechanical systems.
• Own large-scale system ownership with autonomy.
• Lead design reviews, run analyses, visit vendors, and define hardware test plans.
• Build prototypes, analyze failures, and transition projects to production.
• Support critical hardware demonstrations with customers as needed.
• Travel to test sites as required.
• Apply first principles physics to decision making.
