Job summary

Apptronik is seeking a Senior System Integration Engineer – Soft Goods / Gloves / Grip to lead the system-level integration of soft goods, robotic gloves, grip surfaces, and protective interfaces for Apollo. You will ensure complex, compliant mechanical systems work with embedded sensors, electronics, and control software to enable dexterous manipulation in real-world environments.

You will act as the technical connective tissue across mechanical, electrical, controls, materials, systems

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in systems integration, product development, or mechatronics.
• Experience with wearables or soft goods in robotics is highly preferred.
• Hands-on bring-up, debugging, and multi‑domain troubleshooting required.
• Strong collaboration across ME, EE, and SW disciplines expected.

Responsibilities

• Lead integration of soft goods, gloves, covers with sensing and control systems.
• Define system-level architecture and ICDs for flexible and rigid boundaries.
• Architect IP sealing interfaces to meet environmental requirements.
• Drive V&V plans and characterize sensor feedback and grip performance.
• Mentor junior engineers and guide cross‑functional teams during bring-up.
• Work with manufacturing to ensure repeatable, scalable production.
