Job summary

Apptronik is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer – Soft Goods / Gloves / Grip to lead the mechanical design of robotic gloves, soft interfaces, and grip surfaces for Apollo. You will work across teams to deliver robust, manufacturable solutions for dexterous manipulation in real-world environments.

The role requires hands-on experience with textiles, elastomers, coatings, and sensor integration, plus a track record taking products from concept to production.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in mechanical design of soft goods, textiles, and elastomer interfaces.
• Experience with protective materials, coatings, and environmental protection.
• Strong background in sensors integration, testing, and design validation.

Responsibilities

• Lead the mechanical design and development of robotic gloves, soft goods, and grip interfaces for Apollo.
• Collaborate across mechanical, electrical, controls, and manufacturing to deliver production-ready solutions.
• Develop flexible textile structures, coatings, and elastomeric components for dexterous manipulation.
• Drive DFM, tooling, and supplier collaboration to scale production.
