Job summary

Hydrogen UK Ltd in Irvine, CA is seeking a Senior Technician to support the R&D Tech QA Engineering team. You will perform hands-on mechanical testing, run experiments, follow protocols, and document results for engineering review in a collaborative lab setting.

This six-month, onsite contract requires a high school diploma (bachelor's in mechanical engineering optional) and 1–5+ years of hands-on testing experience; training and cross‑functional collaboration with engineers are part of the role.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Bachelor's degree acceptable but not required; advanced education not a substitute for hands-on capability.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Engineers/Technicians to execute experiments and testing activities.
• Perform hands-on mechanical testing (tensile, leak tests, etc.).
• Set up, operate, and troubleshoot lab equipment and document results.
• Ensure accurate documentation and transfer to systems and records.
• Lead smaller workstreams related to validation and testing.
• Coach less-experienced technicians as appropriate.
• Work onsite in an R&D lab supporting ISO/lab and design-verification testing.
