Job summary

Rocket Lab is seeking a Mechanical Technician III to enable the build and test of Neutron launch vehicle facilities and ground systems. You will join a tight-knit team responsible for fabrication, integration, and maintenance across test sites and launch pads.

Qualified candidates will have 5+ years in aerospace or related industries, experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, and large-structure assembly, and familiarity with measurement tools.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 5+ years in aerospace, industrial, or relevant environment.
• Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, and/or fluid components.
• Experience assembling large structures and mechanisms.
• Use of hand, power and measurement tools in mechanical construction.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate mechanical subsystems for Neutron test and launch sites, focusing on fluids systems.
• Lead daily activities for 3–5 technicians to meet integration schedules.
• Contribute to launch pad workflow and best practices.
• Ensure tasks meet time and quality standards.
• Provide support for launch ops integration as needed.
• Assemble and fit out launch pad systems, including fluid system build and commissioning, precision cleaning, and troubleshooting.
