Lear Corporation in Comstock Park, MI is seeking a Senior Technician - Mechanical to install and service automated equipment at Lear plants globally. You will read layouts, mount devices, run cables, and integrate systems with the controls team.

The role requires lifting up to 50 pounds, long hours during installations, and travel up to 80% worldwide. We value safety, teamwork, and hands-on problem solving. Background in forklift operation and reading mechanical/electrical prints is desired.

Formación

• Must be a team player with inclusive collaboration.
• Expert experience with forklifts, rigging, and hand tools.
• Knowledgeable of automated equipment wiring (AC/DC, Ethernet).
• Self-driven and able to work long hours during installations.
• Understanding of facility requirements (air, ethernet, 110VAC, 480VAC, water).
• Willingness to travel globally up to 80%.
• Able to read 2D mechanical and electrical prints.

Responsabilidades

• Follows health, safety, environmental regulations, and safety protocols (safety harnesses, fork truck, scissor lift, boom lifts, LOTO).
• Builds mutual trust, respect, and cooperation among all team members.
• Follows tasks given by supervision/management.
• Unload and move equipment into position, per layout.
• Mount electrical devices, install cable tray, run sensor cabling, 24VDC circuits, 480VAC circuits, airlines, and ethernet to the equipment.
• Make connections into the MCP.
• Work with controls team to debug systems.
• Read and analyze prints, layouts, and timelines.
• Review drawings and verify site inventory.
• Contribute and build to team atmosphere.
