Responsibilities

• Provides technical leadership for a local detector assembly project.
• Commission and manage detector assembly tasks and operations.
• Consults with physicists to produce detailed mechanical designs.

Skills

Ability to work in a safe and efficient manner

Ability to clearly express instructions and procedures in written form

Basic machining, metalworking, and woodworking skills

Experience in design, engineering and construction of mechanical systems

Ability to utilize computer aided design (CAD)

Familiarity with computer-controlled machine equipment

Education

High school diploma or equivalent

Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or technology
