Job summary

GE Vernova, Inc. is seeking an experienced engineer to design mechanical systems for the BWRX-300, supporting certification with regulators and coordinating with multiple teams. The role emphasizes integration, risk management, and adherence to safety principles.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Nuclear Engineering.
Minimum 8 years of engineering experience in mechanical or process system design.
Minimum 2 years of experience in nuclear plant modifications or related work, preferably with BWRs.
Minimum 4 years of mechanical system design experience including P&ID, process flow, and thermodynamics.

Responsibilities

Perform preliminary and detailed mechanical design of systems on the BWRX-300 including steam turbine and auxiliaries.
Support certification processes to address US NRC or other regulator design requirements.
Lead interface across components, systems, and teams to ensure integration and operability.
Drive risk trades and configuration control within the product teams and subcontractors.
