Job summary

Ampcus Inc. is seeking a Mechanical Systems Engineer to create technical specifications and define requirements per design standards. You will resolve issues in manufacturing and field, provide technical support, and troubleshoot during installation and commissioning.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering, 5–10 years of related experience, and strong communication as you interface with global teams and procurement partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 5-10 years of related technical experience.
• Detailed knowledge of auxiliary mechanical systems of a gas turbine (air intake, acoustic enclosure, ventilation, fire protection).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work cross-functionally and internationally.
• Strong written and verbal communication to interface with internal and external teams.

Responsibilities

• Prepare technical specifications and verify supplier bids with clarifications.
• Support supplier negotiations, including risk assessment and selection for air intake, heat exchangers, noise enclosures, fire protection.
• Review internal and external designs and documentation.
• Coordinate with Procurement and suppliers, and project management.
• Provide field/site support during installation, commissioning, and warranty activities.
• Assist Bid Management with proposal support.
