Lumicity, partnered with an innovative clean energy company based in Los Angeles, seeks a Senior Mechanical Systems Engineer to own the full lifecycle of complex mechanical systems from concept through field deployment. This hands-on role demands leadership across design, analysis, and testing to deliver robust hardware.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years' experience, strong structural and first-principles analysis skills, and expertise with NX/SolidWorks/CATIA, plus hands-on FEA and thermal-fluid

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline required.
• 5+ years' experience owning the full lifecycle of complex mechanical systems.
• Strong understanding of structural mechanics and first-principles engineering analysis.
• Proficiency with CAD software (NX, SolidWorks, CATIA).
• Hands-on FEA experience including static, modal, vibration, and structural analysis.
• Experience with thermal-fluid systems and pressure vessels.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of the full lifecycle of mechanical systems from concept and detailed design through analysis, testing, manufacturing, and field-deployment.
• Lead the design and development of complex mechanical and thermal-fluid systems.
• Perform engineering calculations and analysis including structural, thermal, dynamic, and system evaluations.
• Utilize advanced CAD tools to produce models, drawings and assemblies for complex hardware.
