K2 Space in Torrance, CA is seeking a Supply Development Engineer, Mechanical to define and implement supplier development strategies across engineering, manufacturing and procurement. You will grow suppliers into strategic partners and drive quality, delivery and cost improvements for critical missions.

This role requires 5+ years in a related field, travel up to 50%, and a strong background in quality tools like ISO 9001, AS9100 and PPAP. In-office work at our Torrance headquarters is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in an engineering discipline is required.
• 5+ years in quality, reliability, supply chain, or engineering roles.
• Strong understanding of quality standards and tools (ISO 9001, AS9100, PPAP).
• Ability to travel up to 25-50% of the time.

Responsabilités

• Assess supplier capabilities and their ability to meet manufacturing requirements.
• Lead PPAP, rating and reliability campaigns to enable production.
• Lead containment, ticket resolution, and supplier corrective actions.
• Evaluate supplier quality performance using scorecards and audits for ISO/AS standards.
• Provide program leadership to ensure product quality, delivery and cost meet expectations.
• Interface with engineering, production, and procurement to define roadmaps aligned with company goals.
