Job summary

Jobot is seeking a highly skilled Permanent Mechanical Superintendent to join our engineering team in the United States. You will oversee mechanical construction projects from planning through execution, ensuring safety, quality, and on-time delivery across commercial and industrial sites.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, 5+ years in a similar role, advanced OSHA knowledge, and strong leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role.
• Advanced knowledge and understanding of OSHA safety regulations and company safety policies and procedures.
• Strong leadership and team-building skills, with the ability to assess and develop the skills of crew members and foremen.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to manage differences and diversity in the workplace.
• Proven ability to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve problems before they develop into major difficulties.
• Advanced understanding of construction scheduling and cost control.
• Ability to handle the administrative duties of the position, including the completion of required paperwork.
• OSHA-30 certification, or the ability to obtain certification within six months from the date of hire.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, mentor, and evaluate the performance of crew members and foremen, ensuring they are adequately trained and equipped to carry out their duties.
• Implement and enforce all company safety policies and procedures, and ensure adherence to OSHA safety regulations.
• Manage and resolve any conflicts or issues that arise in a professional and diplomatic manner.
• Identify potential problems and troubleshoot them before they elevate into major difficulties.
• Oversee construction scheduling and cost control, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
• Handle all administrative duties related to the position, including the completion of required paperwork.
• Set and manage performance goals, effectively utilizing time management strategies to ensure team productivity.
• Maintain a high level of attention to detail, remaining calm and diplomatic under pressure.
