Job summary

Paragon Technologies, a SunSource company, is seeking a skilled technician to repair gearboxes and electric motors in Warren, MI. The role requires first shift availability and may include overtime to meet business needs.

You will troubleshoot, diagnose failures, test motors, and perform precise mechanical measurements while adhering to safety and quality standards. A valid driver's license and basic tools are required for onsite work.

Qualifications

• Must have experience with mechanical equipment/repairs.
• Must own basic hand tools.
• Must be well organized and high level of attention to detail.
• Must have basic understanding of mechanical prints.
• Valid Driver's License and good driving record required.
• Must be able to pass a drug screening and background check.
• Root cause analysis training a plus.
• Overhead crane training

Responsibilities

• Repair all major brands of gearboxes.
• Able to repair and test electric motors.
• Able to troubleshoot and properly diagnose failures of electric motor.
• Able to remove and install bearings.
• Able to use calibers and micrometers.
• Able to use a multimeter.
• Visually inspect gears and determine pass/fail

Description

The position will require the ability to trouble shoot and repair all major brands of gearboxes and electric motors.

Must be able to work first shift.

May be required to work overtime (more than 40 hours per week) as business needs dictate.

Computer skills required (word, excel, email).

Physical Requirements

Regularly required to stand and walk. Frequently required to stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, and squat. Ability to lift up to 45 pounds (light hand tools, etc.) Manual dexterity, repetitive motion tasks.
