Legence in San Diego, CA is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead mechanical construction projects across San Diego, Imperial, Riverside, and Los Angeles Counties. You will drive planning, budgeting, scheduling, and safety, coordinating cross-functional teams to deliver profitable, high-quality projects on time.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Construction Management or Mechanical Engineering and at least 5 years of direct PM experience in MEP construction.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, or related field preferred.
• Minimum 5 years managing mechanical construction projects.
• Strong understanding of MEP systems and OSHA safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Oversees projects from planning through closeout to meet schedule.
• Develops and revises project work plans as needed.
• Conducts site inspections for quality and documentation.
• Leads budgeting, resource planning, and financial management.
• Manages costs, expenses, and profitability; tracks change orders.
• Ensures adherence to budget and forecasts.
• Defines team structure and assigns responsibilities.
• Directs Project Engineers, Superintendents, Foremen, and BIM staff.
• Liaises with clients, architects, contractors, and partners.
• Communicates across all phases and reviews deliverables.
• Identifies design/construction issues early to prevent disputes.
• Provides general administrative support as directed.
