GH Engage is seeking a Senior Mechanical Project Manager for Virginia operations. This hands-on leadership role oversees large, complex mechanical construction projects on-site, takes ownership of budgets, schedules, and quality, and mentors the project team.

Ideal candidates bring 8+ years of PM experience with a mechanical contractor or subcontractor, solid financial acumen, and a track record of directing multiple projects to successful completion while maintaining safety and customer

Qualifications

• 8+ years of commercial/industrial project management experience.
• Senior PM/PM experience with a mechanical contractor or subcontractor.
• Strong financial management and forecasting skills.
• PMP certification preferred.

Responsabilités

• Own large, complex mechanical projects, including budget, schedule, quality and customer satisfaction.
• Manage multiple projects and oversee a portfolio of work.
• Lead, mentor and develop Project Managers, Assistant PMs and field teams.
• Participate in bid reviews and evaluate project risks for go/no-go decisions.
• Oversee project setup, buyout, and procurement of materials, equipment and subcontractors.
• Lead WIP reviews, maintain financial forecasts and report on profitability.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, acting as the senior contact.
• Promote a strong safety culture across all projects.
• Review drawings, specifications and project documents to ensure quality installation and timely completion.

GH Engage is partnering with a well-established, full-service MEP contractor to hire an experienced Senior Mechanical Project Manager in VA. This is a leadership role for someone who enjoys being hands-on and on site, and who can take ownership of large, complex mechanical construction projects while helping develop the project team around them.

Responsibilities

• Take full ownership of large, complex mechanical construction projects, including budget, schedule, quality and customer satisfaction
• Manage multiple projects at once and oversee a portfolio of work
• Lead, mentor and develop Project Managers, Assistant Project Managers and field teams
• Participate in bid reviews and evaluate project risks to support go/no-go decisions
• Oversee project setup, buyout, and procurement of materials, equipment and subcontractors
• Lead WIP reviews, maintain financial forecasts and report on project profitability
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, acting as the senior point of contact
• Promote a strong safety culture across all projects

Requirements

• 8+ years of commercial/industrial project management experience
• Recent Senior PM or PM experience with a mechanical contractor or subcontractor (not GC, owner’s rep or consultant)
• Proven track record managing large mechanical projects lasting a year or more
• Experience managing multiple projects and leading project teams
• Strong financial management skills, including forecasting and WIP reporting
• OSHA 30 certification and working knowledge of OSHA regulations
• Strong communication, leadership and customer relationship skills
• PMP certification preferred
