Job summary

LVI Associates seeks a Senior Mechanical Project Manager to lead large-scale commercial and industrial mechanical construction projects. You will oversee from preconstruction to closeout, ensuring safety, schedule, and budget performance while coordinating HVAC, piping, plumbing and related systems with owners, GC, and field teams.

The role requires 7+ years in mechanical construction PM, strong budgeting and leadership skills, and the ability to mentor junior staff while delivering high-quality

Qualifications

• 7+ years of mechanical construction project management experience.
• Experience managing commercial, industrial, healthcare, data center or institutional projects.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, piping, plumbing, mechanical systems and construction processes.
• Experience managing project financials including budgets, forecasting, change orders, and cost-to-complete.
• Strong understanding of drawings, specifications, contracts and project schedules.
• Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and communicate with field and executive-level contacts.
• Experience leading and developing junior project management staff.
• Degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering or related discipline preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage mechanical construction projects from preconstruction through final closeout.
• Take ownership of project budgets, schedules, forecasting, cost control and profitability.
• Review drawings, specifications, contracts, scopes of work and project documentation.
• Manage subcontractors, vendors, procurement, material releases and equipment schedules.
• Oversee RFIs, submittals, change orders and project documentation.
• Work with Superintendents and field leadership to ensure successful project execution.
• Coordinate installation with electrical, controls, structural and architectural trades.
• Lead regular project meetings with clients, general contractors, engineers and internal stakeholders.
• Identify project risks early and develop strategies to maintain schedule and commercial performance.
• Manage client relationships and identify opportunities for repeat business.
• Support and mentor Project Managers, Assistant PMs and Project Engineers.
• Ensure projects comply with safety procedures, quality expectations and contractual requirements.
