Howards Mechanical Inc. in Amarillo, TX is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead direct large-scale commercial and industrial mechanical projects from pre-construction to closeout.

You will oversee budgets, schedules, and teams, coordinating with general contractors, engineers, and vendors to deliver high-value builds. The role requires deep HVAC/plumbing knowledge, strong leadership, and effective communication, with up to 10% travel across Texas.

Qualifications

• Proven project management experience within mechanical contracting or large-scale commercial construction.
• Deep technical knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, piping systems and building codes.
• Experience tracking project docs with Procore or similar PM platforms.
• Willingness to travel up to 10% across Texas for active regional builds.
• Strong communication, financial management and leadership for diverse teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead high-value mechanical projects from pre-construction through closeout.
• Manage budgets, forecasting, change orders and cost-to-complete reports.
• Supervise PM teams and collaborate with superintendents, estimators and subcontractors.
• Serve as operational contact for general contractors, owners, engineers and vendors.
• Enforce safety and quality controls across all sites; address on-site challenges.
• Maintain project timelines with proactive problem solving and coordination.
