Job summary

Highland Consulting Group is partnering with a major Pittsburgh-area mechanical contractor to fill an immediate Project Executive opening. This senior leadership role oversees PMs, drives profitability, mentors staff, and coordinates with Accounting on WIP reports and budgets.

The candidate will manage project resources, ensure contractual compliance, and maintain client relationships to support repeat business. Regional work with minimal travel is expected.

Qualifications

• At least 10 years of Project Manager experience with a mechanical contractor.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field required; advanced degree preferred.
• Strong understanding of budgets, WIP, GMP contracts, and project finance.

Responsibilities

• Manage Project Managers and ensure work is completed profitably.
• Mentor and develop the PM staff.
• Prepare and review WIP reports with Accounting.
• Oversee budgets and costs for active projects.
• Ensure all contractual commitments are met and handled professionally.
• Manage company resources including personnel, materials, and equipment.
• Oversee project closeout and punch-list coordination with stakeholders.
• Assemble and maintain complete project records and closeout documents.
• Maintain relationships with past clients to support repeat business.
