Job summary

Sealed Air seeks an Associate Project Engineer at SEE Headquarters in Charlotte. This role leads mechanical engineering projects from concept through start‑up, focusing on execution, cost, schedule and scope while coordinating with internal teams, suppliers and contractors.

You will apply CAD expertise (SolidWorks preferred; DraftSight/AutoCAD), manage projects with Smartsheet and MS Project, and travel up to 20–25%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering required; mechanical preferred.
• 3–8 years of experience in mechanical design and/or project engineering.
• Proficiency in 3D CAD design (SolidWorks preferred) and 2D CAD (DraftSight/AutoCAD preferred).

Responsibilities

• Lead project engineering from concept through start-up, with focus on cost, schedule, and scope management.
• Design, install, and start up process equipment; coordinate with internal stakeholders, suppliers and contractors.
• Create layouts; conduct design reviews and risk assessments.
• Identify and evaluate new technologies to improve yield, throughput, and reduce cost.
• Identify upgrades to existing equipment and assist with implementation.
• Other assignments as required.
