Job summary

Olgoonik is seeking a Senior Project Mechanical Engineer in Oneida, NY to lead design and project management for mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems across major new construction and renovations. This role drives technical direction, mentors junior staff, and ensures client satisfaction.

Responsibilities include field inspections, detailed drawings, and coordinating with stakeholders to align scope, budget, and schedule.

Qualifications

8+ years of mechanical engineering experience in government, industrial, and commercial facilities.
Expertise in MEPF engineering including HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and energy systems.
Experience managing large multi-disciplinary projects from conception through completion.

Responsibilities

Lead the design and development of mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems across all project phases.
Conduct field inspections and system assessments.
Develop and approve detailed drawings, schematics, and specs compliant with codes and client requirements.
Collaborate with stakeholders to define scope, budgets, and schedules.
Oversee resolution of complex technical challenges during project execution.
Provide construction administration including reviewing submittals and RFI responses.
Serve as primary client contact and maintain strong relationships.
Lead project risk assessments, resource allocation, and QA activities.
Support proposal preparation, project scoping, and strategic planning.
