Job summary

Affiliated Engineers, Inc. in Detroit seeks a Mechanical Senior Project Engineer to lead HVAC building systems design for research, healthcare, and higher-education facilities.

You will drive client relations and oversee the design process from concept through documentation. You will leverage Revit MEP, AutoCAD, and Navisworks to deliver innovative solutions, mentor junior engineers, and ensure projects meet schedule, budget, and quality goals.

Qualifications

• BSME/BSAE degree or equivalent with PE license required.
• 15+ years designing HVAC building systems for research, healthcare or higher education facilities.
• Proficiency with engineering design software (Revit MEP, AutoCAD, Navisworks) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the overall design process on assigned projects within the mechanical discipline.
• Develop innovative design solutions aligned with project and client needs and mentor the design team.

As a Mechanical Senior Project Engineerin our Detroitoffice, you will help us empower our clients to achieve energy-efficient building solutions, save global environments, and create a better, greener future for all.

In this role, you will build and maintain relationships with clients and project partners and is responsible for the overall design process on assigned projects within a particular discipline. Within your role, you will also develop innovative and unique design solutions to align with project, client and project partner needs and leads the team in implementing solutions.

Expertise of our most successful Mechanical Senior Project Engineer:

• BSME/BSAE (or other engineering discipline with applicable experience).
• 15+ years of experience designing HVAC building systems for research, Healthcare or Higher Education facilities.
• Professional engineering registration required.
• Proficiency in computer operation for engineering design programs (i.e. Revit MEP, AutoCAD, Navisworks) preferred.
