About this Opportunity

We are seeking a Mechanical Project Engineer to support the design, development, and execution of industrial EPC (Engineering, Procurement, Construction Management) projects serving construction products manufacturing, metallurgical processing, and heavy clay production industries.

This role supports the full project lifecycle—from concept development and detailed engineering through procurement, installation, commissioning, and startup.

The ideal candidate brings strong mechanical design experience, a passion for solving complex engineering challenges, and the ability to collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary project teams.

Why Join Our Team?
  • Design large industrial systems, bulk solids handling systems, thermal process equipment, and custom‑engineered machinery from concept through commissioning.
  • Work alongside experienced engineers, project managers, fabricators, suppliers, and field personnel on challenging EPC projects.
  • Gain exposure to manufacturing, construction products, metallurgical processing, mining, minerals processing, and energy‑related industries.
  • Join a growing engineering organization that offers technical growth, project leadership opportunities, and long‑term career advancement.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Thermal Engineering, Ceramic Engineering, Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • 5+ years of experience as a Project Engineer, Mechanical Design Engineer, or similar engineering role within industrial environments.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or equivalent engineering design software.
  • Ability to review and interpret P&IDs, equipment layouts, process flow diagrams (PFDs), and vendor drawings.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical engineering fundamentals, machine design, industrial equipment, and material handling systems.
  • Proficiency with engineering drafting standards including GD&T, ANSI Y14.5, and ISO 2768.
  • Experience developing and managing Bills of Materials (BOMs).
  • Working knowledge of international engineering codes, standards, and industry best practices.
  • Familiarity with fabrication methods, welding, installation practices, and commissioning of industrial equipment.
  • Strong technical writing, analytical, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary and multicultural project teams.
  • Willingness to travel for site visits, inspections, commissioning support, and client meetings as required.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience in construction products manufacturing, metals and mining, minerals processing, cement, ceramics, brick, heavy clay, or other industrial manufacturing environments.
  • Working knowledge of Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and other engineering analysis tools.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) registration or equivalent certification.
  • Experience with kilns, thermal systems, refractory‑lined equipment, dust collection systems, and bulk solids handling equipment.
  • Experience sizing and designing ductwork and piping systems for air, natural gas, water, and process fluids.
  • Experience working directly with international vendors, contractors, and clients within EPC project environments.
  • Proficiency in multiple languages is a plus.
Key Responsibilities
  • Develop mechanical designs, calculations, layouts, and engineering deliverables for industrial plants and equipment.
  • Prepare and review equipment specifications, datasheets, technical requisitions, fabrication drawings, and general arrangement drawings.
  • Design or coordinate the design of conveyors, crushers, mixers, kilns, dryers, ducting, chutes, piping systems, tanks, pumps, fans, burners, and related equipment.
Project Execution
  • Coordinate closely with process, civil, structural, electrical, automation, procurement, and construction teams throughout project execution.
  • Review vendor quotations, technical submittals, drawings, and calculations to verify compliance with project requirements, codes, and standards.

Provide technical support during procurement, manufacturing, shop inspections, installation, commissioning, startup, and performance testing activities.

Technical Leadership
  • Investigate equipment failures and operational issues, developing practical solutions that improve reliability, maintainability, and performance.
  • Ensure designs comply with applicable safety, environmental, quality, client, and project requirements.
  • Support project planning through engineering estimates, schedules, deliverable tracking, and resource planning.
  • Prepare engineering reports, calculation packages, technical documentation, and as‑built records.
