Qualifications

• BSME or MSME from accredited university, with strong engineering fundamentals.
• Strong capability in designing, analyzing, building, testing, and repairing mechanical systems.
• Solid understanding of tolerancing and GD&T (ASME Y14.5-2018).
• Knowledge of machining and manufacturing processes and design for manufacture.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in product engineering, sustaining engineering, or mechanical design.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks; travel for customer installs possible.

Responsibilities

• Carry out design, development and testing activities that support the completion of our product line.
• Create and maintain complete product-level drawing packages, layouts, and technical specifications in alignment with product-line requirements.
• Participate in design and drawing reviews with emphasis on DFM/DFA, tolerancing, BOMs, and manufacturing methods.
• Work with production and quality teams to produce and maintain manufacturing process documentation.
• Gather quotes for components and manage suppliers to source development materials.
• Nurture a product line from concept to production release.
• Learn and apply regulatory frameworks to the design.
• Support other product lines or customer projects with mechanical design and improvements.

Position Description

We are seeking a Senior Mechanical Product Engineer to provide substantial contribution to the completion of one of our key product lines. The position requires fundamental knowledge of fluid mechanical and solid mechanical as well as ability to design and build testing skids that involve pumps, flow meters, sensors. The range of tasks spans across designing, building and testing components, subassemblies and assemblies.

While the new products will be the result of teamwork, the multidisciplinary nature of Zaiput’ s work requires the teams to keep tight internal interaction and have excellent communication.

The work involved in this project is cutting-edge and requires a highly skilled, creative individual possessing strong applied design capabilities. Responsibilities

• Carry out design, development and testing activities that support the completion of our product line
• Create and maintain complete product-level drawing packages, layouts, and technical specifications in alignment with product-line requirements
• Participate in design and drawing reviews with an emphasis on DFM/DFA principles, proper tolerancing, BOM organization, and suitable manufacturing methods
• Work with production and quality teams to produce and maintain manufacturing process documentation that ensures consistent production and quality standards are maintained
• Gathering quotes for components and managing suppliers to source development materials.
• Nurturing a product line from concept to production release
• Learning and applying regulatory frameworks to the design.
• Support other product lines or customer projects with mechanical design, troubleshooting, and engineering improvements

Qualifications

• BSME or MSME from accredited university along with excellent knowledge of the fundamentals of engineering
• Strong technical capability in designing, analyzing, building, testing, and repairing mechanical systems
• Solid understanding of dimensional standards, tolerancing, and GD&T (ASME Y14.5-2018)
• Knowledge of machining and manufacturing processes, plus experience with design for manufacture principles
• Strong problem-solving capability, including root-cause analysis of complex systems
• Excellent analytical reasoning ability
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for both technical and interpersonal interactions
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in product engineering, sustaining engineering, or mechanical design
• Flexibility in undertaking and participating in different tasks and activities.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks
• Some knowledge of PLC programming and electronics is a valuable plus.
• Experience in CNC milling centers is a valuable plus
• Experience in a manufacturing setting is a valuable plus
• Experience in Solidworks PDM, is a valuable plus
• Ability to travel on occasions domestically or internationally to assist on customer installs
