Job summary

Motion Recruitment is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer for a full-time role focused on precision fluid handling and metering systems. You will own complex mechanical designs from concept through production, collaborating with engineering, manufacturing, quality, and supply chain teams, and mentoring junior engineers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in mechanical engineering or related field.
• 5–8+ years of relevant mechanical engineering experience.
• Strong mechanical design and engineering analysis experience.
• Proficiency with CAD software; SolidWorks experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of GD&T and ANSI/ASME Y14 drawing standards.
• Experience with FEA and/or CFD.
• Experience performing tolerance analysis.
• Experience with FMEA, DOE, and structured root cause analysis.
• Strong understanding of materials and manufacturing processes.
• Ability to independently manage multiple projects or engineering deliverables.
• Strong technical writing, documentation, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of complex mechanical designs and subassemblies from concept through production.
• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, quality and supply chain teams.
• Provide hands-on problem solving across product development, prototyping, testing and manufacturing.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical documentation and reports.
• Ensure designs meet regulatory and quality requirements.

Job description

We're hiring a Senior Mechanical Engineer for a full-time opportunity with a growing engineering and manufacturing organization focused on the design and development of precision fluid dispensing and metering systems. This role is ideal for an experienced mechanical engineer with strong hands-on design and analysis experience who wants to work across product development, prototyping, testing, manufacturing, and continuous improvement.

You'll take ownership of complex mechanical designs and subassemblies from concept through production while working closely with engineering, manufacturing, quality, and supply chain teams. This is a strong opportunity for someone who enjoys solving challenging engineering problems, working directly with physical products, and mentoring less experienced engineers. The role provides significant technical ownership and the opportunity to contribute to products used in highly technical and regulated applications.
