Job summary

HOLT Manufacturing in Waco, TX is seeking a Senior Product Design Engineer (Mechanical) to design and analyze structural components for Holt products from concept to completion.

Ideal candidate has a BS in Mechanical Engineering and 5+ years of design experience, with SolidWorks and FEA. You will collaborate with multiple teams, ensure safety and manufacturability, and contribute to product documentation and tooling.

Qualifications

• BSME in Mechanical Engineering required.
• Five years of product design experience required; seven preferred.
• SolidWorks, ProE, AutoCAD, Ansys experience.
• NRTL standard compliance and certification.

Responsibilities

• Lead reviews of project specs with engineering and operations to define product concepts.
• Define structural specifications, loading limits, stress and fatigue points.
• Modify drawings for customer, manufacturing, and technical changes.
• Create or modify Holt Manufacturing product designs and technical documents (BOM, procedures).
• Review and verify product designs and BOMs with operations for safety and manufacturability.
• Assist in creating or modifying fixturing, jigs and tooling.
• Performs duties safely and adheres to company policies.
• Work on multiple projects concurrently and meet deadlines.
• Collaborate with internal/external resources daily.
• Support product documentation and design from concept to completion.
