Job summary

HOLT Manufacturing in Waco, Texas, is seeking a Product Design Engineer (Mechanical) to lead the development and analysis of structural designs and technical documents for Holt products, from concept through completion. You will collaborate with internal teams to ensure safety, manufacturability and quality.

The role requires a BS in Mechanical Engineering and 5+ years of product design experience, with SolidWorks expertise and familiarity with tank design and UL standards.

Qualifications

• BSME is the minimum education requirement.
• Minimum five years in product design; seven years preferred.
• Experience with tank design and UL standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead reviews of project technical specifications with collaborating engineering and operations teams to develop/define product concepts.
• Define structural specifications, loading limits, stress and fatigue points, etc. through analysis.
• Modify drawings to incorporate customer, manufacturing, and technical changes.
• Create or modify Holt Manufacturing product designs and technical documents (BOM, product support procedures).
• Review and verify product designs and BOM with operations to meet safety, manufacturability, and quality objectives.
• Apply knowledge of design and manufacturability of Holt Manufacturing products.
• Assist in creating or modifying fixturing, jigs and tooling.
• Work safely, follow policies, and maintain regular attendance.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
