Job summary

The Foth Companies is seeking a Mechanical Process Engineer to design and deliver utility systems for industrial clients. This role focuses on developing process safety and efficiency while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to meet project objectives.

You will prepare equipment specs, mass/energy balances, and P&IDs, driving cost estimates and supporting field installations. Remote work options are available with travel about 30%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering or equivalent.
• 7+ years of experience with utility systems (steam, refrigeration/ammonia, compressed air, HVAC, gases, water).
• Registered Professional Engineer preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with project disciplines to deliver integrated solutions.
• Prepare equipment specifications and technical documentation.
• Develop cost estimates with clients, vendors, and suppliers.
• Create mass and energy balances to support process design.
• Produce P&IDs and related drawings.
• Define operational parameters and performance criteria.
• Support installation, construction, and start-up activities on-site.
• Mentor junior team members and conduct on-site surveys.
• Travel approximately 30% annually.
