Job summary

Jacobs is seeking an experienced Preconstruction Manager - Mechanical to bridge engineering design and construction for major industrial projects. The role involves coordinating with internal teams and contractors to develop comprehensive bid packages and ensure complete scope coverage on site.

Your leadership will drive constructability insights and sequencing for HVAC, Plumbing, and Fire Protection work. Ideal candidates have extensive mechanical engineering or construction management

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent construction experience
• Certified technical training is a plus
• Experience interpreting mechanical drawings for construction purposes
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Knowledge of industry codes and standards

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership resolving constructability concerns and design interpretation issues
• Identify schedule and cost saving opportunities from design
• Engage trade partners early through design phase
• Coordinate cross-discipline evaluation of mechanical scope for sequencing
• Identify risks for long lead activities and align with schedule
• Develop and review construction bid packages based on design
• Coordinate full work breakdown structure with stakeholders
• Review Vendor Data Requirements submittals for constructability impacts
