Job summary

Diamond Peak Recruiting partners with a well-established mechanical contractor to recruit a Senior Project Manager to lead large-scale commercial and industrial mechanical construction projects nationwide.

You will oversee all phases from preconstruction through closeout, manage budgets and schedules, and coordinate with field teams, subcontractors, and owners across HVAC, piping, and plumbing scopes. This role requires strong leadership and travel across regions.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in mechanical construction project management.
• Strong background in HVAC, piping, and plumbing systems.
• Experience managing large-scale mechanical projects with budgets of $20M+.
• Proven success delivering complex commercial or industrial projects.
• Strong understanding of project scheduling, financial management, and field coordination.
• Experience managing multiple stakeholders across fast-paced project environments.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to travel nationally for project assignments.

Responsibilities

• Lead large-scale mechanical construction projects from preconstruction through closeout.
• Manage project schedules, budgets, forecasting, and cost control.
• Oversee HVAC, piping, and plumbing scopes across complex commercial and industrial projects.
• Coordinate with field leadership, subcontractors, owners, and general contractors.
• Drive project execution, planning, and operational performance.
• Identify and resolve project risks, delays, and coordination challenges.
• Support procurement, buyout, and manpower planning efforts.
• Mentor Project Managers, Assistant Project Managers, and project support staff as needed.
• Maintain strong client relationships and support repeat business opportunities.
