Job summary

Diamond Peak Recruiting is seeking a Mechanical Construction Project Manager in the Dallas–Fort Worth area to lead HVAC, piping, and plumbing projects from preconstruction through closeout.

The ideal candidate will manage budgets, schedules, and subcontractors, mentor junior staff, and ensure safety and quality across commercial and industrial settings. Opportunities range from early PM roles to senior leadership in a growing contractor.

Qualifications

• Experience managing commercial or industrial mechanical contractor projects.
• Strong understanding of HVAC, piping, and plumbing scopes.
• Experience with Design-Build, Design-Assist, or Plan-Spec a plus.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to manage budgets, RFIs, submittals, and change orders.

Responsibilities

• Manage mechanical construction projects from preconstruction through closeout.
• Oversee project budgets, cost tracking, forecasting, and overall financial performance.
• Coordinate HVAC, mechanical piping, and plumbing scopes.
• Work closely with general contractors, owners, engineers, subcontractors, vendors, and field leadership.
• Manage procurement, equipment buyout, material purchasing, and subcontractor coordination.
• Review drawings, specifications, submittals, RFIs, and change orders.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, milestones, and execution plans.
• Identify project risks and proactively resolve issues.
• Monitor manpower, productivity, quality, and project progress.
• Support Design-Build, Design-Assist, and Plan-Spec project delivery.
• Maintain strong relationships with customers and project stakeholders.
• Ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, and within budget.
• Mentor and develop junior project management personnel as appropriate.
