Qualifications

• ICC certification as Mechanical or Plumbing Inspector required by appointment.
• ICC certification as Mechanical or Plumbing Plans Examiner required within six months of employment.
• Valid Texas Class "C" Driver's License or equivalent by appointment.
• CDL or positions of safety sensitive are subject to drug and alcohol testing.

Responsibilities

• Review plan specifications for permits regarding gas, mechanical, and plumbing systems. Verify that plans meet code and issue occupancy certificates when completed.
• Perform field inspections to assist inspectors with difficult or unusual code requirements and file reports in computer databases.
