Job summary

Redwire in Goleta, CA is seeking an Advanced Programs Engineer, Staff to lead mechanical and program efforts for deployable solar arrays. You will design CAD models, size PV systems, and guide customer specs while developing SOWs and SDILs and coordinating with subcontractors.

The role also involves contributing to marketing, sales strategies, and IRAD efforts with a cross-functional team. 8+ years in mechanical/aerospace engineering and space structures is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 8+ years of mechanical or aerospace engineering experience.
• 2+ years of experience with spacecraft structures or mechanisms.
• Experience with CAD software.
• Experience with Space Solar Array power analysis.
• US citizen or legally authorized to work in the US; visa sponsorship not accepted.

Responsibilities

• Technical Lead in business pursuits guiding new solar array opportunities.
• Configure solar array designs with CAD models and PV power sizing.
• Draft statements of work (SOWs) and verification matrices with stakeholders.
• Coordinate with subcontractors and internal supply chain on proposals.
• Contribute to marketing, sales strategies and IRAD activities.
