System One is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to act as the Mechanical Lead for power generation and heavy industrial projects, providing technical leadership and overseeing mechanical design.

The role involves coordinating project execution, managing schedules, budgets, resources, and vendor relationships, plus preparing technical documentation and mentoring engineers.

This 6-month contract offers onsite work in Omaha, with potential conversion to permanent for a qualified candidate.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field.
• 10+ years in Power Generation Industry, with familiarity of all systems of a power facility.
• Experience with heat exchangers, pumps, ASME pressure vessels, and ASME piping codes.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical design on power generation/heavy industrial projects.
• Coordinate project execution, manage schedules, budgets and resources.
• Prepare equipment inquiry/RFQ packages and evaluate bids.
