Job summary

Hitachi Rail is seeking a Mechanical Integration Engineer based in Hagerstown, Maryland. You will shape the integration of advanced rolling stock systems from concept through to manufacture, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and international colleagues on large-scale rail projects.

Required: 3–5 years in Mechanical Integration, a degree in mechanical engineering, and strong CAD skills (Creo, CATIA, Autodesk). Travel occasionally may be required. Competitive benefits offered.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in Mechanical Integration engineering.
• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent background.
• Strong experience with 3D CAD tools (Creo, CATIA, Autodesk).
• Ability to work independently in a dynamic environment.
• Strong teamwork and communication across disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Carry out 3D mechanical integration analysis across train components, producing reports.
• Lead development and integration of mechanical systems with supplier collaboration.
• Manage and maintain the full train digital mock-up in 3D CAD environments.
• Develop and oversee tolerance stack-up analyses for system integration.
• Produce full train assembly drawings to support manufacturing.
