Job summary

Dematic is seeking a dedicated Mechanical Supervisor to lead installation efforts on customer projects across locations in the continental USA. The role requires frequent travel to site locations and oversight of quality and safety on each project.

You will coordinate with project managers, manage subcontractors, and ensure equipment is installed to Dematic standards while maintaining thorough trip reports and on-site training when needed.

Qualifications

• Ten years minimum experience in troubleshooting electromechanical equipment.
• Experience with AGVS, AS/RS, or conveyors is helpful.
• OSHA 10 required; OSHA 30 preferred.
• Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Ensure installation quality on project sites, including manufacturing and subcontractor quality.
• Maintain quality checklists and submit Corrective Actions when discrepancies arise.
• Oversee on-site safety, including safety audits.
• Assist with routine equipment trial runs to verify specifications and Dematic standards.
• Provide on-site reporting on schedule and resources to the project manager or customer.
• Assist in training contract labor and subcontractors in installation of Dematic equipment.
• Write concise trip reports within Dematic procedures timeframes.
• Identify problems and suggest practical steps to resolve them.
• Travel on short notice up to 100% and be on-call as needed.
• Work on large construction sites in various climates and conditions.
