Job summary

Dematic is seeking a dedicated Mechanical Supervisor. The role involves traveling to customer locations across the continental USA to oversee installation quality, safety, and performance on diverse projects. Excellent problem-solving and leadership skills are required.

Qualifications

• Ten years of experience troubleshooting electromechanical equipment.
• Experience with AGVS, AS/RS, or conveyors is helpful.
• OSHA 10 required; OSHA 30 preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure installation quality on site, including manufacturing and subcontractor quality.
• Perform quality checklists and submit Corrective Actions when discrepancies are identified.
• Oversee on-site safety, including safety audits.
• Assist with routine equipment trial runs to ensure it meets specifications and is installed to Dematic standards.
• Provide on-site reporting on schedule and resources to the project manager and/or customer.
• Assist with the training of contract labor and subcontractors in the installation of Dematic and other material handling equipment.
• Write concise, clear, and complete trip reports within Dematic procedures.
• Identify problems as they occur and suggest appropriate steps to tackle them.
• Must be able to travel on short notice and spend up to 100% of the time traveling.
• Push, pull, crawl, squat, and walk around large construction sites in various climates and conditions.
