Job summary

Valcor Engineering is seeking a Mechanical Inspector to join our quality team. You will perform first piece and sample inspections on complex parts and assemblies, interpret blueprints, and ensure measurements meet specifications in a hands-on environment.

Under general supervision, you will calibrate gauges, document results, and collaborate with Engineering, Assembly/Test and Operations to resolve quality issues, supporting our aerospace, nuclear, and defense applications.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or equivalent, advanced technical education.
• Requires five years’ experience as an inspector with demonstrated acceptable performance.
• Demonstrated effective verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Performs inspections of complex parts and assemblies using blueprints and specifications.
• Documents inspection results and decisions regarding inspection problems.
• Skillfully uses inspection gauges and instruments, including setup and adjustment.
• Calibrates measuring gauges and equipment as directed.
• May lead and assist other inspectors and perform setups.
