A consulting firm is looking for an experienced Mechanical Inspector in Pittsburgh, PA. This role involves ensuring the mechanical integrity and reliability of equipment and piping systems. You will perform inspections, develop inspection plans, and collaborate with various teams to prevent equipment failures. Candidates should have at least a high school diploma, an active API certification, and a minimum of 3 years of visual inspection experience. Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of one active API certification (API 510, API 570, or API 653); second certification required within one year of hire.
• At least 3 years of visual inspection experience.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary point of contact for pressure equipment and piping integrity.
• Perform leak and failure inspections on fixed equipment and process piping.
• Develop, implement, and maintain inspection plans for piping, tanks, and equipment.
• Recommend and provide technical support for repairs and alterations.
• Coordinate inspection activities with internal teams and contractors.
• Track inspection intervals and consolidation of inspection requirements.
• Participate in Management of Change (MOC) processes.
