Job summary

RLP Mechanical in Dallas is seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical HVAC Plumbing Systems Technician to maintain, troubleshoot, and service commercial hydronics, boilers, chillers, and related systems. The role requires strong plumbing knowledge and the ability to read blueprints.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8–10 years of experience in commercial hydronics, HVAC, boilers, and related systems.
• Knowledge of commercial service and construction plumbing.
• Texas Journeyman Plumber License and MedGas License required.
• EPA certification a plus.
• Ability to read blueprints and interpret diagrams.
• Valid drivers license.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, troubleshoot, service and repair commercial hydronics, heat exchangers, facility equipment and systems.
• Maintain steam/hot water boilers, chillers, and cooling towers.
• Maintain pumped systems: chilled water, condensate water, domestic water, heating water, condensate, medical air, vacuum, DA tanks, and mechanical air.
• Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems.
• Read and interpret blueprints and drawings.
• Collaborate with team to repair efficiently within timeline.
• Follow safety standards and keep records.
• Call as needed.

Responsibilities for the Senior Mechanical HVAC Plumbing Systems Technician position includes:

• Assists in the proper maintenance, troubleshooting, service and repairs of commercial hydronics, heat exchangers, facility equipment and systems.
• Maintains and repairs steam/hot water boilers, chillers, and cooling towers.
• Maintains all pumped systems including: chilled water, condensate water, domestic hot and cold water, heating hot water, condensate, sewage ejector, medical air, vacuum, DA tanks, and mechanical air.
• Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems.
• Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine layout and installation procedures.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure equipment is repaired efficiently and within the specified timeline.
• Adhere to all relevant safety standards and procedures.
• Keep accurate records of work performed.
• Call as needed.

Requirements for the Senior Mechanical HVAC Plumbing Systems Technician position includes:

• Minimum of 8-10 years of experience or combination of experience with commercial hydronics, HVAC, boilers, hot water systems, heat exchangers, steam systems, chillers, hydraulic pumps and mechanical maintenance experience required
• Knowledge of both Commercial Service & Construction Plumbing
• Valid Texas Journeyman Plumber License required, and a MedGas License is required.
• EPA certification is a plus
• Ability to take call as needed.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and writing diagrams
• Strong knowledge of industrial hydronics, commercial plumbing systems, central plant systems, tools, and materials.
• Prior experience handling complex hospital shutdowns, system diagnostics, and equipment replacements is required.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Attention to detail and precision in work.
• Valid driver's license.
