The Senior Design Engineer (Mechanical/HVAC Systems) leads assessments, feasibility analyses, and engineering design to support investment decisions from concept through implementation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related technical field.
• 5–10 years of experience in development, design, or delivery of utility system modernization or energy projects.
• Technical experience with utility, HVAC, mechanical, or related infrastructure systems.
• Ability to independently manage engineering work and coordinate with clients and teams.

Responsibilities

• Conduct site surveys and collect data to establish baselines.
• Analyze facility infrastructure to identify energy and operational improvements.
• Perform feasibility studies and evaluations for utility modernization.
• Develop project scopes, savings calculations, and investment-grade estimates.
• Prepare technical recommendations and supporting documentation for proposals.
• Lead design engineering activities and ensure quality and scope alignment.
• Coordinate internal and external resources to deliver design work on schedule.
• Manage engineering support for implementation and incentive coordination.
