Job summary

ATI is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer (Facilities) to join our team in Cudahy, WI. The role blends engineering design with project leadership for complex equipment and facilities from concept to startup.

The successful candidate will develop designs, drawings, and technical data to support machinery, buildings, and facilities, while leading projects and coordinating internal and external stakeholders. Strong automation and manufacturing process knowledge are valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering or State registration in lieu of Degree.
• 5+ years' experience in Mechanical Design, Maintenance Engineering, or Project Management.
• 5+ years experience in CapEx projects
• 5+ years experience in FEA or stress analysis
• Pneumatic or hydraulic experience

Responsibilities

• Develop engineering designs and layouts using principles of stress analysis, mechanics, kinematics, machine and tool design, strength of materials, physics, mathematics, and other physical sciences.
• Lead medium to large-sized engineering and capital projects through design, purchasing, installation, and startup.
• Coordinate technical activities across projects, balancing engineering requirements, schedules, costs, manufacturability, and operational needs.
• Provide technical direction to technicians, draftsmen, and engineers as needed.
