Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Senior Life Safety Systems Designer in Boise, Idaho, to design safety systems for advanced facilities, including semiconductor plants and research centers. You'll lead design projects, utilizing AutoCAD and Revit MEP to create precise and safe environments.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in life safety systems design, ideally in complex industrial or high-tech environments.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and Revit MEP.
• Strong collaboration skills and ability to work across disciplines.
• High school graduate or equivalent.
• At least 10 years of Drafting/design experience.
• Systems design experience with Fire Alarm Systems, Voice Evacuation, Gas Detection, VESDA, Access Control, CCTV.
• NICET Level II certification.
• AutoCAD and/or Revit experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and drafting of life safety and security systems for advanced facilities.
• Utilize AutoCAD and Revit MEP to create and coordinate 3D BIM models with architects and engineers.
• Assist in developing layouts for Fire Alarm Detection Systems, HPM leak detection, Toxic Gas Management Systems, and Security/Intrusion Detection Systems.
• Ensure designs meet industry standards and client requirements, delivering accurate, constructible solutions.
