Job summary

Loenbro in Gilbert, Arizona is seeking a Senior Mechanical Estimator to lead the mining-focused estimate process for complex industrial projects. You will oversee quantity takeoffs, labor, material pricing, subcontractor evaluations and risk assessments, building detailed cost models from drawings and specs.

Join our Estimating team and leverage HCSS HeavyBid, Accubid, and MS Office to deliver accurate bids, lead pre-bid meetings, and collaborate with operations and procurement to optimize cash

Qualifications

• Minimum of 8+ years in industrial construction estimating, with 2+ years in leadership.
• Experience estimating within the mining industry.
• Experience with Accubid, HCSS, HeavyBid and/or HeavyJob.
• Ability to read P&ID drawings and other technical schematics.
• Scheduling experience with MSP or P6.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong MS Office skills with emphasis on Project Schedule and Excel tracking.
• MSHA Training.

Responsibilities

• Lead detailed estimates for projects up to $50MM, considering complexity and self-performance.
• Validate quantity take-offs and input into estimating software.
• Apply cost analysis and contingency planning for risk mitigation.
• Interpret P&ID drawings and other technical documents.
• Utilize HCSS HeavyBid for accurate estimating.
• Represent the estimating team in client meetings and pre-bid conferences.
• Develop estimating procedures and bid review processes.
• Provide cash flow projections and risk analyses for mining projects.
