Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mining Engineering (strongly preferred).
• 5+ years of project estimating experience, underground mining or heavy industrial environment with mechanical scope.
• 10+ years in engineering, planning, and/or project management with ability to align estimate scope to execution strategy.

Responsibilities

• Develop accurate, competitive cost estimates for underground mechanical systems (hoisting, piping, ventilation).
• Lead mechanical estimating from concept through final bid proposal in collaboration with engineering, operations and procurement.
• Perform detailed quantity takeoffs from drawings, models, and specifications; price labor, equipment, materials, subcontractors, indirects, and commissioning.
