Job summary

Corvant seeks a Senior Estimator to lead mechanical project estimates across HVAC, plumbing, and sheet metal scopes for commercial and mission-critical environments. You will convert drawings into clear scope definitions, pricing, and winning bids while mentoring junior estimators and coordinating with Business Development and Operations.

You will manage complex bids from takeoff through final pricing, develop risk-adjusted costed proposals, and help set bid strategy to protect margins.

Qualifications

• 8+ years estimating experience in mechanical, HVAC, or related construction trades.
• Proven ability to independently estimate large, complex projects from takeoff through final pricing.
• Strong ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, specs, and contract documents.
• Proficiency with estimating software and Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Clear written and verbal communication with the ability to defend pricing.

Responsibilities

• Lead the preparation of complete, accurate mechanical estimates for HVAC, plumbing, piping, and sheet metal scopes.
• Review drawings, specs, addenda, and bid documents to define scope, risks, and clarifications.
• Perform detailed quantity takeoffs and develop labor, material, equipment, and subcontract pricing.
• Solicit and analyze vendor/subcontractor quotes for complete coverage of each scope.
• Develop project schedules and general conditions to support realistic labor and pricing.
